Do you know that Leela is a sweetheart dog? And she now lives in Northern Michigan with my now good friends Brent and Katie. So, from the time that she first met her parents, she went with them. Then, Brent came to visit us after his best friend witnessing his best friend Chuck Boerboel. Since, it is he who got from us grow into a very fine dog.Thus, Brent contacted me over a year ago. And decided it would be in his best interest to wait on us to have a litter.
Even though there were breeders in his area producing puppies. But he felt that he would have a better chance of getting a puppy. So, just like turbo that he got his dog from us.Moreover, Brent came to visit. And the moment he picked up Leela he knew she would be the best Boerboel for him. So, the bond was instant. Then, Leela fell asleep right in Brents’ arms. So, from that point the rest is history.
Get to Know Boerboels like Leela
Boerboels, due to their size, require regular walks or play sessions where they are safely fenced. So, each day, this breed should be exercised for 60-90 minutes.
Thus, long neighborhood walks, treks, or a game of ball are all excellent hobbies. Also, they require mental tasks in addition to everyday exercise to keep their minds active and alert. Moreover,this cerebral stimulation keeps the breed happy, entertained, and out of danger. Because it is intelligent and has a functional drive. So,obedience, protection work, and puzzles are examples of this.
Additionally, weight pull, agility, rally, and obedience events are all fun for them. So, they also do well with stock work and protection.Thus, in between walking sessions, toys are recommended for outdoor play. That is why, you have to consider huge dog toys that can take some abuse due to their size.
So, large spaces with fenced-in yards for them to play are ideal for Boerboels. Then,this breed needs space and attention. Because they may become destructive or even dangerous if they do not have it.
