South African Boerboel Rescue

This Boerboel/Mastiff we call Balto was rescued near white rock lake Park in North East Dallas. The vet says he is one year old, 91lbs, too skinny, but healthy.

Possibly a Boerboel he exhibits

Balto eats with my dog in the same room and give them bones next to each other . Also, can take them away when I want. This dog has been to PetSmart with lots of dogs and people around. Also, we took pictures of him with professional lights. Make noise in the kitchen with blender and such around him with no problem. Therefore one could conclude he sounds in good nerve and well socialized

In a short time, he devotes his time to us already. And follows us everywhere. So, he sits or sleeps at our feet in the office or when we watch TV. Balto does bark or growls at the front door if something odd goes on in the parking lot. Also, he likes to hunt or is at least interested in ducks and birds.

Boerboel Rescue Available 4-22-14

Maverick is 11 months old and needs the right loving home. The issue is someone in our subdivision is off put by his size. And feels the need to call the police and tell them they are scared of him.

Instead of knocking on my door and asking to get to know him, so they are not afraid anymore. Consequently, breeders classify him as a nuisance animal. As a result, I am worried the county will come and take him from us and do whatever is the cheapest to take care of the problem.

Description of Maverick

Most noteworthy, he is a sweetheart. Also, he loves people, and kids. Moreover, all he wants to do is live a good life. Additionally, he is potty

on the leash getting better every time but still a puppy and wants to smell everything..

Finally, the best part of his personality is that he wants to be with you, if you’re going to kill a Sunday on the couch watching football there is no better friend to have sitting on the couch next to you. So if you are looking for the right family pet, they broke the mold when they made him.

Boerboels Mastiffs in need of Rescue

When it comes to
South African Boerboel rescue

An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. Before you invest in a puppy, visualize your self and your pet in the next few years. It is heartbreaking when for a dog to be rehomed from the family it has grown to love. It can be especially hard for Boerboel puppies because of the robust and genuine bond that they enjoy with the owner.

Our view as responsible pet owners and Boerboel breeders is

We Rescue Boerboels

The euthanizing of thousands of unwanted pets is sadly irresponsible. Humans directly euthanize pets. There are just too many dogs and puppies in shelters. The cost to run shelters results in many unwanted euthanizations.
Exotic Boerboel puppies do not need rescue they always have a home.
We encourage pet owners to return if they cannot take care anymore.  Exotic Boerboels commit our lives to all dogs and puppies we bred.
We want all pets to have a safe, warm, comfortable living environment. If you have any dog or pet in need of rescue, let us know we may be able to help you find a proper home if we cannot care for the animal ourselves.

5 year old Boerboel named Murdock

Needs a rescue! Murdick is a neutered purebred Boerboel, almost 120 lbs, and an excellent guard dog. I am asking for help not because I don’t love him with all of my heart but because his quality of life is terrible.

Murdock: Boerboel Rescue

Murdock is an excellent guard dog. Unfortunately he is overprotective of me. Also, his yard and has broken through our chain link fence to get at a passer-by. Thankfully the man was not hurt (he jumped into his car) but it could have been a child! It is too much of a risk to have Murdock outside to play or to be off of his lead at all. Unable to be off leash is very unfair for him. He loves to run & play & I am too scared to let him. Our house is too small to play inside- so he mopes. I am ruining his life. He needs to go to a family who has a yard (not with a side road next to it), so he can play.

Murdock has been through basic training (puppy kindergarten) and socialized. Then three years ago I got hurt. His behavior changed. He began to be overprotective of me. Not with everyone, but certain people set him off.

We try behaviorists and trainers. But none can figure out why these certain people set him off. It is impossible to tell when he will flip this switch.Yet, inside he is fine. So, he thinks he is a lap dog! The only time he freaks is if the UPS guy or a stranger approaches the house. Moreover, he is okay with the people he know for a long time. Thus, new guests don’t get to meet him because we lock him away for safety. Again, the quality of life issues.
I am 6 months pregnant and starting to panic about how he will react with an infant. If someone can need help, I need it soon. This dog is depressed, and it is breaking my heart

Thank You
Jill, Andrew & Murdock
