This post is dedicated entirely to Outlaw aka Dawg as one of African Boerboel dogs. Thus, it is necessary to fully explain everything about him because there are many layers to his exclusivity.
Firstly, I want to verify that he is 201 lbs. but not a fat 201 over 200 pounds of lean muscularly Boerboel dogs. He doesn’t run all day. Stamina and endurance are not his strengths. What he lacks in those regard he makes up for in size and power. Size makes a dog more imposing. Bigger Boerboel breed has a higher likelihood to damage and injuris. It is because of the size he possess . Overly sized dogs cfroould frown upon by our breeding program standards. Humongous dogs do not have the ability to go long distances and run. He is anything over 160. Many people exaggerate the size as if weight is a measure of quality. The best African Boerboel dogs have a Blend of the two extremes. A hybrid so to speak.
Dawg is regarded as an extreme Boerboel breed, extra large, and visually appealing. Outlaw’s appearance is a reflection of his genetic genotype and his environmental phenotype.
How we breed legendary African Boerboel Dogs?
His father Klopdisselboom Koelva (Titan) was imported by my Partner in Columbus Mike. Mike at King of the Cages Kennels has been importing some legendary breeding dogs from South Africa since the late 2000’s. By Legends I mean Spitsvuur Mandaat, Dopper Greit, Dopper Lydia, and many other dogs of that caliber. Mike also Imported Outlaws Mom Patches. Patches was born in the USA but bred in South Africa. Her mom is Middelpos Miriam an import from South Africa. Patches was bred to the prolific producer Middelpos Swembad. While Swembad was the father of the 2014 national champ Middelpos Kristjan. Then, Miriam was imported directly from Middelpos home of the highest scored Boerboel of his time.
I was engaged in African Boerboel dogs prior to the surge of success and popularity achieved by Middelpos Alpha. I got took a break from breeding in my career from 2014-2015 sold the majority of my adult stock . Then, I started fresh with select puppies from the previous stock. Mike and I had a conversation about who had the “hot hand” in S.A. and Middelpos . Alpha was on fire at that time. When I saw Miriam I thought she was mediocre and nothing special. Same thought on first sight of Patches. I have high standards for Boerboels breed.
My Passion for Boerboel Puppies
To make a long story short Patches was in need of a place to whelp her litter. And there’s no other better place than with me. I love to raise puppies especially South African Boerboels. So naturally, I am sure I am always happy to help with these creatures.
The decision to pursue on this, I haven’t think of anything other than sell value. But as far as I know patches I become more and more passionate with her. A good momma dog is a gem and Patches was a terrific mom. All of her puppies survived and did not need any supplemental help. Not Only was she a good mom but a sweet dog.
We can compare heavily to Koda. The wide chest built thick and heavy like they can carry big litters. They both have great healthy appetites and mildly drives. Yet overall still feminine.
Many newcomers to the breed think that shemales are better breeders. An experienced breeder knows that shemales are undesirable. It is because they will throw female looking for males. Moreover, in most cases they find difficulty in producing new ones.
Searching For The Best Boerboel Breed
In my fresh memory, when the puppies grow up I told my self this boy is starting to look special. as a matter of fact I am not going to sell him but I will be keeping him. You should that know I have been in search of the ultimate stud dog. A Boerboel breed who is capable of runnning 15 miles in a day . And has a bodybuild of a big truck .But unfortunately, what I had in thought was not the one. Since, he went to the other side. Moreover, I discover that he is not the one.
Final Say
Experience has taught me that breeding African Boerboel dogs you need a pack. There is no one dog who has everything. I don’t think that it is possible to have the 150 pounds 15 mile running Boerboel breed. However, we will still do our best to find that dog. Since there are several males compliment one another. And it is a better strategy than putting all bets on any one dog.
Outlaw is valuable to many South African Boerboel Breeders because of his pedigree. He comes from well-known know prolific producing stud dogs. This is what is known as a stud dog line. Better know as Champion line Boerboels top producing Boerboels Grand Champion dogs. Stud Dog Registered. Let’s dive deep into his pedigree.
