The physical appearance of a Boerboel does not require much effort. Because of their loose and thick skin, as well as their short, lustrous coats, Boerboels are generally low-maintenance dogs in terms of grooming. Their skin pigmentation is often dark, with brown and red being common. If you’re looking for a stunning breed to buy, a Boerboel is a great option.
The Breeder of Exotics Royal
After years of watching the breed we ventured into the world of “owned by a Boerboel” and fell in love. We’ve been hobby breeders for more than a decade. But after getting our first puppy, we were instantly sucked into a Boerboel obsession. We’ve had many dog breeds over the years, but none have compared to the Boerboel. They’re the perfect dog for us because they can go from living room floor ornaments to serious family guards in no time. Our Boerboels are gentle with children and friendly with visitors at home, but they redefine the term “guardian.”
Before bringing in our foundation stock, which was hand-picked from some of the world’s best-producing kennels, we looked everywhere. While everyone enjoys looking at a large, beautiful dog, the actual Boerboel temperament is our primary goal. We value health as well, and we work hard to create a dog with the fitness required to maintain the temperament for many years. It’s just a bonus that they’re attractive!
It’s also beneficial to teach your dog to tolerate stimuli like joggers, bicyclists, and strollers. With the help of a willing friend or neighbor and a few brief sessions, you can acclimatize your dog to bikes, strollers, and fast-moving people. Start this conditioning as part of socialization. You can do it from the beginning if you have a young dog or a freshly adopted adult dog. If your dog has a fear of, or aggression against, such triggers, seek the advice of a method trainer/behaviorist before the situation becomes dangerous.
