African Boerboels

Boerboel dogs (also known as South African Mastiffs) are the most agile of the mastiff breeds. They have a powerful, balanced, and commanding presence. They can move quickly and fiercely despite their small. A black mask may be on the face, and the vast, horizontal eyes may be brown or darker in color.
The V-shaped medium-sized ears are situated high on the head. Although tail docking is not advisable in some areas, the tail is straight and can be long or short.
The dog’s skin is thick but loose, with colorful patches of darker skin that help protect him from the heat (usually on the stomach). Colors for the short coat include brindle, brown, reddish-brown, cream, and tawny. Black coats are uncommon, although they do exist.

Grooming for African Boerboels

Because of their short coat, Boerboels do not require much upkeep. Brushing also helps to promote hair growth by dispersing skin oils throughout the body.Keep an eye out for any sensitive spots and gently brush them. During routine grooming, check your dog for fleas and parasites.
Baths are only necessary in exceptional circumstances. So, you can keep the water lukewarm and towel-dry the dog after. Then, you must trim their nails.

However, this is less of an issue if they play on hard surfaces that grind their claws naturally. It’s to prevent infection. So, you must check their ears regularly. Using toothbrushes or finger sleeves, make sure your dog’s teeth are clean.
